These photos first appeared in a magazine called Latin Lovers at some point in the 1990s. I recall the editor contacting me and asking if I would sign a copy of the magazine cover since I appeared on it. Actually, I believe that it was my first magazine cover. I told the editor that I would be happy to sign it. He thanked me and inquired if I happened to be Hispanic. "No." I responded with a chuckle. He laughed too.
Another mildly amusing aspect of these photos is that I was posing on my own car. That BMW had cost $40,000. It just seems ridiculous now. Back then I would blow money on clothing, cars, and jewelry. Honestly, I was broke and in debt by the time I turned 30. It has been challenging to clean up my credit and start making small investments in the years since then, but I feel stronger and wiser because of it.
