Michael Jackson is what he is -innocent until proven guilty, of course- but who are these parents that let their kids SPEND THE NIGHT AT A GROWN MAN'S SLUMBER PARTY???????????? Charge them and put them on trial too.
Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch Raided
LOS OLIVOS, Calif. - Investigators conducting a criminal probe
swarmed Michael Jackson (news)'s Neverland Ranch on Tuesday. The
purpose of the search was not disclosed.
Jackson and his three young children were not at the ranch at the
time of the raid, his spokesman, Stuart Backerman, told The
Associated Press. He said that for three weeks Jackson and his family
have been in Las Vegas, where Jackson was filming a video.
Backerman declined further comment, saying he lacked detailed
information about the investigation.
Sixty to 70 personnel from the Santa Barbara County sheriff's and
district attorney's offices served a warrant about 8:30 a.m. as part
of an "ongoing criminal investigation," Sgt. Chris Pappas said.
Detectives were expected to be gathering evidence all day. No one was
arrested, and as of midday there was no arrest warrant issued, Pappas
said at a command post.
The district attorney's office had no comment, said legal secretary
Debbie Popp.
The $12.3 million Santa Ynez Valley property, which has a mansion,
its own zoo and amusement park with bumper cars, a merry-go-round and
Ferris wheel, has often been the site of children's parties.
More than 10 years have passed since the 45-year-old singing
superstar faced a child-molestation investigation in a case that
never resulted in criminal charges.
The singer who had international hits with the albums "Thriller"
(1982), "Bad" (1987) and "Dangerous" (1991), saw his career begin to
collapse in 1993 amid allegations he molested a boy. Jackson
maintained his innocence, and charges were never filed. He reportedly
paid a multimillion-dollar settlement.
Jackson is also connected to Hollywood private eye Anthony Pellicano,
who has begun serving federal prison time for possessing illegal
explosives, and is being investigated about whether he secretly taped
conversations of celebrities and their lawyers.
Pellicano, 59, reportedly worked for Jackson while the singer was
under investigation for child molestation in the early 1990s.
As the raid was under way, Court TV reported that the warrant was
tied to allegations brought by a 12-year-old boy. That could not
immediately be confirmed by The Associated Press.
In a television documentary broadcast on ABC earlier this year,
Jackson said he had slept in a bed with many children. "When you say
bed you're thinking sexual," the singer said. "It's not sexual, we're
going to sleep. I tuck them in. ... It's very charming, it's very
sweet."
As of last December, when Jackson interacted with young fans outside
a lawsuit hearing in Santa Maria, Calif., he was still inviting
children to his home for parties.
The search came on the same day Epic Records released "Number Ones,"
a greatest hits collection featuring Jackson's new single, "One More
Chance." On Nov. 26, CBS is scheduled to air a Jackson special
consisting mainly of old concert footage.
Jackson caused an international uproar last year when he displayed
his baby, Prince Michael II, to fans by dangling him briefly from a
fourth-floor balcony in Germany, where he had gone to accept an award.
Jackson called the incident a "terrible mistake," and Berlin
authorities said the actions were not punishable.
Not much is known about Prince Michael II, whose mother has not been
identified. The singer's 6-year-old son, Prince Michael I, and
5-year-old daughter, Paris, were born during his marriage to Debbie
Rowe, his plastic surgeon's nurse, which ended in 1999.
He was also married to Lisa Marie Presley (news), Elvis's daughter,
between 1994 and 1996.
Jackson routinely keeps the children's heads covered with cloth while
escorting them in public - and he usually sports a surgical mask
himself when out and about. He has said he wants to protect them from
the public eye.
The "King of Pop" amassed a half-billion-dollar fortune over the past
20 years, but his former financial advisers have said, in a lawsuit
last spring, that he is saddled with debt and teetering near
bankruptcy. Current financial advisers have denied that claim.
Jackson has appeared weak and ghostly pale at many of his recent
public appearances, and his own attorneys have said has been involved
in nearly 1,000 lawsuits.
In June, he suffered a suspected anxiety attack during a visit to
Indianapolis to deliver a deposition in a lawsuit and his doctor said
the singer was weak, dizzy and dehydrated.
In a separate Santa Maria lawsuit hearing earlier this year, the
singer hobbled into court on crutches with his left foot wrapped in
bandages because of swelling from what he described as a spider bite
and delayed testimony because he said he was too ill to appear in
court.
When he did finally testify, he giggled during questioning and made
comical faces at people in the courtroom.

Hello,
The following story just kills me. I'm sure I've already ranted about enough stuff here in the past few days, but lately every time I listen to or read the news I find something else that drives me up a wall. This story has to do with taking pills to conquer phobias. Sure, I know that it's the trend these days for doctors to try and tweak with brain chemistry- (Prozac, Zoloft, Welbutrin (sp?) , etc.)- but I don't think these doctors know what the fuck they are doing. In my more cynical moments I think they just keep on prescribing medication to get the kickbacks from the pharmaceutical companies.
I used to take Zoloft that was prescribed by a psychiatrist because I was "depressed" and "anxious." Soon I found that I could get him to prescribe TONS of other drugs as well. I barely ever went to his office, but he billed my health insurance for weekly visits and kept the drugs coming.
That was years ago, and finally I realized that I was just a lazy, self-indulgent person who had not had the gumption to address my own emotional issues. At long last I decided to take some personal responsibility and deal with my problems sober. I'll never take another prescribed mood-levelling drug again. They just made me dependent on my doctor and let me make excuses for why I didn't have the strength to deal with my problems. What a weak loser I was.
The following article is a recent example from what I see from my humble vantage point as a decade-long trend of doctors encouraging their patients to believe that taking a pill is a better method for combatting personal turmoil than learning some self-discipline and willfully changing their behavior.
I have no doubt that the medication described in the story below does alter perception and conduct because I'm far too familiar with the effects of such drugs as, oh, coke, speed, ecstacy, etc. Remember when coke wasn't supposed to be addictive? Remember when doctors prescribed speed to housewives to help them control their weight?
Perhaps as time progresses and younger generations really come to believe that they are not responsible for controlling their own impulses and actions they will just subsist on pills, watch a lot of television, and turn into vegetation.

Pill May Help People Overcome Fears

NEW ORLEANS - Scientists say a pill may help people overcome their worst phobias. In a small study released Monday, a drug already on the market for tuberculosis helped people who were terrified of heights get over that fear with only two therapy sessions instead of the usual seven or eight.
The study, led by Michael Davis, a professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at the Emory University School of Medicine, was described at a session about unlearning fears at the Society for Neuroscience meeting.
Davis based his work on research that had found the transmission of a certain protein to a brain receptor were critical to overcoming fear. He found that the TB drug, D-cycloserine, aids the transmission of the crucial protein.
The drug, sold by Eli Lilly and Co. under the brand name Seromycin, doesn't dissolve fear. But in rats, it helped them unlearn fears faster, Davis said. Since it was already approved for use in people, he and Barbara O. Rothbaum, director of the school's trauma and anxiety recovery program, tested it on 28 acrophobics, people afraid of heights.
Each got a pill just before their two virtual reality therapy sessions, in which computerized goggles are used to simulate going up a glass elevator in a hotel lobby. Nobody knew whether the pill was a dummy or one of two doses of D-cycloserine, the 500 mg used for TB or one-tenth that dose.
One participant dropped out. When checked one week after and three months after the second session, the 10 patients who had gotten placebos did slightly better than they had at the start. But the 17 on drug — the dose didn't seem to matter — did as well as or better than people who had finished the usual course of eight treatments, Davis said.
"That's pretty powerful stuff, and pretty convincing," said Alan Steinberg, associate director of the National Center for Child Traumatic Stress at UCLA.
And those who had taken the drug were twice as likely as those on the placebo to be going up in elevators, driving over high bridges and doing other things that fear of panic attacks had kept them from doing before the therapy.
"That's an especially positive aspect of these results," said Mark Bouton, a psychology professor at the University of Vermont. Many times, he noted, fear unlearned in one situation — elevators, for instance — may still show up in other areas, such as high bridges or rooftop restaurants.
However, David Kupfer, a Falls Church, Va., cognitive behavioral therapist with a specialty in phobias and other anxiety disorders, said that even if larger studies confirm the findings, he probably would use it only in a few patients.
Other research has indicated that people who go through therapy unmedicated for such problems do better, in the long run, he said.
"People learn ... that they are the powerful agent of change, not the medication," he said.
However, Kupfer said, it could be useful for people who have trouble with exposure therapy, whether it is virtual reality, imagination or going out to face the fear.

McDonald's Decries Webster Over 'McJob'

CHICAGO - McDonald's says it deserves a break from the unflattering way the latest Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary depicts its job opportunities. Among some 10,000 new additions to an updated version released in June was the term "McJob," defined as "low paying and dead-end work."
In an open letter to Merriam-Webster, McDonald's CEO Jim Cantalupo said the term is "an inaccurate description of restaurant employment" and "a slap in the face to the 12 million men and women" who work in the restaurant industry.
The company e-mailed the letter to media organizations Friday, and it also was published in the Nov. 3 edition of an industry trade publication.
Cantalupo also wrote that "more than 1,000 of the men and women who own and operate McDonald's restaurants today got their start by serving customers behind the counter."
McDonald's, the world's largest restaurant chain, has more than 30,000 restaurants and more than 400,000 employees.
Walt Riker, a spokesman for McDonald's, said the Oak Brook, Ill.-based fast-food giant also is concerned that "McJob" closely resembles McJOBS, the company's training program for mentally and physically challenged people.
"McJOBS is trademarked and we've notified them that legally that's an issue for us as well," Riker said.
A message left at Merriam-Webster's headquarters in Springfield, Mass., was not immediately returned Friday evening.

Grrrrrrrrr............I have something to say about this article, but I don't have much time right now. In a nutshell, there is no such thing as a "dead-end job." Is it a peculiarly American notion that there is? How come immigrants from Sri Lanka, Nigeria, India, Honduras etc.- where there are virtually no jobs that pay a living wage- come to the US all the time? They arrive illegally here, take any employment available, work hard, and become successful businesspeople. This is the American dream. There is so much opportunity here. It makes me so angry when people ridicule honest work. I can't believe that "McJob" was included in a reputable dictionary to begin with, let alone with that definition. Good for Mc Donalds for striking back. Here is the crux of the article as far as I am concerned:
"more than 1,000 of the men and women who own and operate McDonald's restaurants today got their start by serving customers behind the counter."
Not everything in life revolves around money, but money does offer some degree of security in our culture. Anyone owning a Mc Donald's franchise is doing pretty damned well financially. Does Merriam- Webster have "cash cow" in their latest edition? -- XXOO Tanya

Singapore Policeman Gets Two Years for Oral Sex

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - A Singaporean police sergeant has been jailed for two years for having oral sex in a country where prostitution is legal but oral sex is not, a newspaper reported Friday.
The Straits Times reported that the 27-year-old police coast guard sergeant landed in court after a 16-year-old reported to the police that she had performed oral sex on the man.
She was above the age of consent and agreed to perform the act, but oral sex is against the law in the city-state, the paper said.
"The act by itself is an offence. It is not a question of consent or no consent. Even between consenting people, it is an offence," criminal lawyer Subhas Anandan told the paper.
The maximum punishment for the offence is life imprisonment.

NEW YORK (AP) - Don't tell Jan Michelini that lightning doesn't
strike twice. Michelini, an assistant director on Mel Gibson's The
Passion of Christ, was nicknamed "Lightning Boy" after lightning
struck his umbrella during filming on a hilltop in the town of
Matera, Italy, reported VLife, a supplement to Variety publications,
in its October issue.
He suffered light burns on the tips of his fingers.

umbrella, was standing beside star Jim Caviezel on top of a hill, the

"I'm about a hundred feet away from them," producer Steve McEveety
was quoted as saying, "when I glance over and see lightning coming
out of Caviezel's ears. Both Caviezel and Michelini got struck this
time. The main bolt hit Caviezel and one of its forks hit Michelini's
umbrella."
Luckily, they weren't hurt.
Caviezel stars as Christ and Monica Bellucci is Mary Magdalene in the
film.

Porn actress -- and former California gubernatorial candidate -- Mary Carey will be one of the hosts of "Can YOU Be a Pornstar?"
LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- A new reality TV show asks the question: "Can YOU Be a Pornstar?"
Mary Carey, the porn actress who ran for California governor in the recent recall election, is among the hosts, joining fellow adult-film stars Tabitha Stevens and Ginger Lynn.
Silhouette Productions announced plans Monday to shoot seven one-hour shows, with plans to start broadcasting on iN DEMAND Networks and other pay-per-view channels on January 8.
A group of 28 women will compete for a one-year contract with a major adult video distributor and a cash prize of $100,000.
"It's going to be an R-rated version for pay-per-view," Silhouette Productions chief executive officer Harry Feingold told The Associated Press. "Obviously, there will be outtakes that will be hardcore," which will likely turn up on DVD release later.
"It's like 'Paradise Hotel,' when they go behind the scenes. Everybody wants to know what's going on. Well, here you see it," he said, referring to the Fox network reality series about young people trying to seduce each other.
In each episode, four women arrive at a house in Los Angeles for photo shoots, interviews and "surprises," according to Silhouette. Viewers will help pick eight finalists for a 90-minute finale.
The statement promised "uninhibited nudity and sizzling sexuality," while the show's official Web site said it would feature "Real people having real sex!"
"Pay-per-view gives us the freedom to take reality television where it has never gone before," Feingold said. "The last stigma today for audiences isn't renting adult films, it's admitting it, and this series offers viewers a fun, behind-the-scenes look at the star-making process in a multi-billion dollar industry."
He added that the show is designed "not just for men, but for wives and girlfriends who enjoy both reality TV and adult entertainment."

Hello,
Today's photo of the day was taken by my friend Al. In it I am wearing (part of) one of my former feature-dancing outfits I performed in when I used to go on the road. Yep, the time-honored schoolgirl routine. From 1996 to the beginning of 1998 I travelled on the road constantly going from club to club. I had some great experiences and some horrible experiences. The bitter memories are of course the best stories.
Sometimes other women I know in the business tell me that I should take feature-dance bookings now. I don't think I ever will again. It was fun to travel around North America and see new places, but it is even better to stay home. My cats are here and I like to think that I am the center of their lives. That's probably not the case, but I like to think it anyways. Besides, I can dance in LA without dealing with any of the hassles that come up on the road.
I remember this one club in Florida that put the feature entertainers who came there for the week into a guesthouse that was in the back parking lot of the club. These accommodations doubled as your dressing room for your stage shows. So after you put on your costume for your show, and some of mine were pretty elaborate, you had to hike across the parking lot in the whole getup. The parking lot was in full view of a heavily travelled interstate highway. When you went to bed at night you locked the door of the guesthose with a push-button type lock that is the same as you probably have on your bathroom door. All the regular customers at the club, and many potential people passing by on the highway, know that this guesthouse is used every single week by visiting strippers. I travelled alone and did not sleep well at that particular venue.
One week my agent booked me at a club in the French-speaking Canadian city of Quebec City. Someone told me that a bomb had gone off at that particular club recently so I asked my agent about it. He told me not to worry because the former owners were Hell's Angels, but they were gone after the bombing incident and now there was a new owner. "He seems like a really great guy," my agent said. Famous last words.
The new owner of "Club Supersexe" paid me with Canadian currency at the end of my week there even though it was written into my contract that I was supposed to be paid in American dollars which were worth significantly more. All of a sudden he no longer remembered how to speak English. I didn't speak French. We were at an impasse, especially since I was working illegally in a foreign country. I felt completely powerless to do anything, probably because I was. I left the country with much less money than I should have received. Worse than that, I just felt like such a ................punk. I should have done SOMETHING. Don't ask me what, but I should have at least taken some kind of stand. For his part, my punk agent did not answer his phone or my repeated pages all weekend, despite the fact that he received a weekly commission from me to handle exactly this type of occurrence.
One time in Columbus, Ohio the police raided my room with their guns drawn during a mistaken drug bust. In Tennessee I worked at a club that was picketed by bible-thumping demonstrators for the duration of my stay. No tips that week as very few local residents wanted to cross that picket line. A club in Pennsylvania gave me a room for the week at a hotel that also provided shelter for the homeless. Somewhere in Canada I got lost while jogging in the snow. Yeah, I'm an idiot, but I'd never been surrounded with so much unending whiteness- it was a lot scarier than it sounds. Employees of a club in Wisconsin stole all of my tip money out of my bag before I departed.
None of those incidents were really that bad. It was more the continued confrontations with club managers that wore me out. Some of them were fine, but some of them were rude dickheads on power trips. My theory on it? In many strip clubs the dancers make a lot more money than the management so there's a lot of festering resentment on the part of those managers. Strange environment. The best-run clubs are the ones where the owners do selective hiring and compensate the management appropriately.
Female friends of mine in the business point out that I could have avoided a lot of those problems if I had travelled with a "roadie." Maybe, but I don't know anyone I could be around full-time. I know there are a lot of wonderful people in the world, but I'm not one of them. I have not met the person who could be around me 24 hours a day.
All that said, feature dancing remains in my memory in the same way that the "Boob Cruise" does. There was good with the bad, and it was certainly an experience. -- XXOO Tanya

It's a sunny but cool day here. Today's Photo of the Day brings back warm memories of the Caribbean. It was taken by one of the great passengers on "Boob Cruise 2000" during a passenger photo shoot. He was kind enough to send me many of the photos he had taken during the cruise. They are actually the only photos I have as I'm not much of a camera person myself. Hello,
I just looked at the Photo of the Day, and NOW I remember what I was doing on May 4 of 2000. That's my foot in the black shoe, and the red shoe belongs to my cabinmate on Score Magazine's "Boob Cruise." Have you heard of it? Every few years Score Magazine, which caters to the big boob fetish market, hires about 15 models to go on a Caribbean cruise with a shipload of paying passengers. Sounds great, right? It could have been, but I did not get along all that well with the cruise organizers. In fact, at a particularly heated moment one of the organizers informed both me and my cabinmate Adina, (she of the red shoes), that our "careers were over." She even accidentally spat when she said it because she was so worked up. I believe she went into that particular tirade on the same night one of the passengers snapped that pic of Adina's and my shoes.
The Boob Cruise will always be a memory. Even at the worst moments of that week the scenery was amazing, the passengers were a lot of fun, and my cabinmate Adina was terrific. Unfortunately she and I have lost touch, but hopefully she and I will run into each other again. -- XXOO Tanya

Calif. Fires Kill 15, Destroy 1,134 Homes

SAN DIEGO - Ash fell on the beach like snow and drivers turned on their headlights in the smoky daytime streets Monday as wildfires that have reduced entire neighborhoods to moonscapes skipped through the hills of Southern California and threatened 30,000 more homes.
California's deadliest outbreak of fires in more than a decade has destroyed at least 1,134 homes, killed at least 15 people and consumed more than 483,000 acres stretching from the Mexican border to the suburbs northeast of Los Angeles.
"This will be the most expensive fire in California history, both in loss of property and the cost of fighting it," said Dallas Jones, director of the state Office of Emergency Services.
The death toll jumped from 13 to 15 Monday after the bodies of two people were found on a road near San Diego.
Several people suffered burns and smoke inhalation, including eight hospitalized at the University of California, San Diego, Medical Center. Two had burns over more than 55 percent of their bodies, spokeswoman Eileen Callahan said.
Managers of California's power grid estimated that 70,000 to 85,000 Southern California customers were without electricity because fires had damaged transmission lines.
A 90,000-acre wildfire that straddles the Los Angeles-Ventura county line began moving slowly toward million-dollar mansions in a gated community in Los Angeles. California Department of Forestry Battalion Chief Thomas Foley said that in a "worst-case scenario," the blaze could spread all the way to the Pacific Ocean.
Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., said his home near San Diego was among the hundreds damaged or destroyed. Further east, a small border crossing 70 miles from San Diego was closed as fire cut off roads leading to the U.S.-Mexico border, said Vince Bond of the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection.
The dry, hot Santa Ana winds that have fanned the flames began to ease in some areas Monday, raising hopes that overwhelmed firefighters could make progress with the help of reinforcements on their way from other Western states. But the danger was still high.
The San Diego-area fires raced through chaparral and grass, sometimes sparing one home or one cluster of trees while destroying those around it.
"It would be disingenuous to say we have control of these fires. Right now we are throwing everything we can at them," Jones said. "It's such erratic conditions. These are still tremendously dangerous with very little control or containment."
President Bush designated the fire-stricken region a major disaster area, opening the door to grants, loans and other aid to residents and businesses in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura counties.
"This is a devastating fire and it's a dangerous fire. And we're prepared to help in any way we can," Bush said at the White House.
Gov. Gray Davis moved to activate the National Guard and summon help from neighboring states. He predicted the cost of the fires would be in the billions.
He toured the fire area in San Bernardino and saw "just homes reduced to rubble, charred belongings still sending off smoke."
He was followed later by Gov.-elect Arnold Schwarzenegger, who had a fire briefing in Ventura County and praised work by firefighters.
He thanked Bush for swiftly declaring an emergency and said he would go to Washington on Tuesday to meet with federal officials "to make sure that the federal money will come through."
Across Southern California, the sun glowed red and smoke stung the eyes and lungs. Airport baggage handlers wore masks against the smoke and the ash dropping across the landscape.
"My eyes are burning right now something terrible," said 74-year-old Maury Glantz in San Diego, holding a towel over his mouth and nose. "I have to get out."
Even the primates at the San Diego Zoo went indoors to escape the misery. "Their lungs are built like ours so they can be affected by the smoke," said zoo spokeswoman Yadira Galindo.
Many of those who died in the wildfires ignored evacuation orders and were caught by flames because they waited until the last minute to flee, Sheriff Bill Kolender said.
"When you are asked to leave, do it immediately," he said. "Do not wait."
San Diego Fire Chief Jeff Bowman said he was worried that three fires that incinerated 585 homes in San Diego County would merge into a super fire, pushing already strained resources to the breaking point.
A state of emergency was declared in the four stricken counties, where the fires had laid waste to entire blocks of homes, closed major highways, shuttered schools, disrupted air travel nationwide and sent people running for their lives.
People were urged to stay indoors because of the smoky air, and hospitals treated a number of people who complained of breathing trouble.
"You could almost smell the smoke and you could almost taste fire," said Leilani Baker, 46, of San Diego. She was sitting at a bus stop, her shoulders covered with ash.
Eleven people were killed by the so-called Cedar Fire, California's largest blaze at 150,000 acres. The fire was ignited Saturday near the mountain town of Julian when a lost hunter set off a signal fire, authorities said. The hunter may face charges.
In San Bernardino County, a blaze called the Old Fire has destroyed more than 450 homes. On Monday, the flames jumped a road and moved into the heavily forested small town of Crestline.
A major fire burning closer to Los Angeles is believed to have been started by arsonists.
"Those who start these fires are no better than domestic terrorists and should be dealt with as such," said Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley.
The arsonists "have no idea how many lives they've ruined," said Trisha Mitchell, standing amid the debris that was once her childhood home in San Bernardino.
Days after running for her life from a fire that ripped through her San Bernardino neighborhood, Pati Wecker returned home in the Del Rosa area to find the only thing left standing of her house was an archway.
Across the street, a park with green grass and trees was untouched.
Digging through the ruins of her home, Wecker found an untouched porcelain angel and two beer steins. A burned photo album crumbled when she picked it up.
Her husband was killed in Vietnam and she raised her six children in the home that is known in the neighborhood as "Momma's House."
"They all said we will build another house," said Wecker, 69.
When the fire closed in, the only things she was able to get out of the house were her purse and a few clothes. "Everything in there, even my five cats," she said, pointing to the ruins. She was unable to get part of her dentures: "I don't even have my teeth."

He was followed later by Gov.-elect Arnold Schwarzenegger, who had a fire briefing in Ventura County and praised work by firefighters.
He thanked Bush for swiftly declaring an emergency and said he would go to Washington on Tuesday to meet with federal officials "to make sure that the federal money will come through."
Across Southern California, the sun glowed red and smoke stung the eyes and lungs. Airport baggage handlers wore masks against the smoke and the ash dropping across the landscape.
"My eyes are burning right now something terrible," said 74-year-old Maury Glantz in San Diego, holding a towel over his mouth and nose. "I have to get out."
Even the primates at the San Diego Zoo went indoors to escape the misery. "Their lungs are built like ours so they can be affected by the smoke," said zoo spokeswoman Yadira Galindo.
Many of those who died in the wildfires ignored evacuation orders and were caught by flames because they waited until the last minute to flee, Sheriff Bill Kolender said.
"When you are asked to leave, do it immediately," he said. "Do not wait."
San Diego Fire Chief Jeff Bowman said he was worried that three fires that incinerated 585 homes in San Diego County would merge into a super fire, pushing already strained resources to the breaking point.
A state of emergency was declared in the four stricken counties, where the fires had laid waste to entire blocks of homes, closed major highways, shuttered schools, disrupted air travel nationwide and sent people running for their lives.
People were urged to stay indoors because of the smoky air, and hospitals treated a number of people who complained of breathing trouble.
"You could almost smell the smoke and you could almost taste fire," said Leilani Baker, 46, of San Diego. She was sitting at a bus stop, her shoulders covered with ash.
Eleven people were killed by the so-called Cedar Fire, California's largest blaze at 150,000 acres. The fire was ignited Saturday near the mountain town of Julian when a lost hunter set off a signal fire, authorities said. The hunter may face charges.
In San Bernardino County, a blaze called the Old Fire has destroyed more than 450 homes. On Monday, the flames jumped a road and moved into the heavily forested small town of Crestline.
A major fire burning closer to Los Angeles is believed to have been started by arsonists.
"Those who start these fires are no better than domestic terrorists and should be dealt with as such," said Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley.
The arsonists "have no idea how many lives they've ruined," said Trisha Mitchell, standing amid the debris that was once her childhood home in San Bernardino.
Days after running for her life from a fire that ripped through her San Bernardino neighborhood, Pati Wecker returned home in the Del Rosa area to find the only thing left standing of her house was an archway.
Across the street, a park with green grass and trees was untouched.
Digging through the ruins of her home, Wecker found an untouched porcelain angel and two beer steins. A burned photo album crumbled when she picked it up.
Her husband was killed in Vietnam and she raised her six children in the home that is known in the neighborhood as "Momma's House."
"They all said we will build another house," said Wecker, 69.
When the fire closed in, the only things she was able to get out of the house were her purse and a few clothes. "Everything in there, even my five cats," she said, pointing to the ruins. She was unable to get part of her dentures: "I don't even have my teeth."

I was just discussing Las Vegas with Joanne my webmaster. I think I may have said:
"I H-A-A-A-A-A-T-E Vegas. HAAAAAAATE it. People ask me if I'm a hooker when I'm walking around minding my own business. Vegas is the capital of disrespect. That's how I define it. It's built on greed and loss, and in recent years it's become the vacation destination of choice for people who can't handle their alcohol and drugs. I don't care who they are before they get there, but they descend to the level of the lowest common denominator when they arrive. Yuck, yuck, yuck."
Yep, I think that's what I said. Unfortunately Vegas has also become the destination of choice for many small adult production companies because Nevada has a much more hospitable business environment for small companies than California. For instance: if you operate a home business in California you can write off the square footage of space your desk occupies when you do your taxes. But not if you use that room for anything else. In Nevada you can write off a very sizable portion of your mortgage payment if you have a home business. AND.......there's no state income tax. There are many other financial advantages as well. Lots of adult companies are relocating to Vegas. They tend to set up shop near the Las Vegas Strip because it's fairly close to the airport and many of the best strip clubs, so they have an easy time getting models.
All right. My rant is over. I have to get it out of my system every time I have a trip to Vegas approaching. I'll be much better when I get home. -- XXOO Tanya

Scalia adopted a mocking tone to read from the court's June ruling that struck down state antisodomy laws in Texas and elsewhere.
Scalia wrote a bitter dissent in the gay sex case that was longer than the ruling itself.
On Thursday, Scalia said judges, including his colleagues on the Supreme Court, throw over the original meaning of the Constitution when it suits them.
"Most of today's experts on the Constitution think the document written in Philadelphia in 1787 was simply an early attempt at the construction of what is called a liberal political order," Scalia told a gathering of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute.
"All that the person interpreting or applying that document has to do is to read up on the latest academic understanding of liberal political theory and interpolate these constitutional understandings into the constitutional text."
Scalia is a hero of conservatives who favor a strict adherence to the actual text of the Constitution.
The 50-year-old Intercollegiate Studies Institute is a private conservative education organization that sponsors lectures and conferences and scholarships. The group says its mission is to, "enhance the rising generation's knowledge of our nation's founding principles — limited government, individual liberty, personal responsibility, free enterprise and Judeo-Christian moral standards."
ISI draws much of its funding from conservative foundations, including three controlled by or associated with billionaire philanthropist Richard Mellon Scaife, a vehement critic of former President Clinton.
Scalia spoke after standing with some 800 others to recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Supreme Court announced last week that it will hear a case testing the constitutionality of the current version of the pledge as it is recited in public schools and that Scalia will not take part.
Scalia apparently sidelined himself because of remarks he made earlier this year critical of a lower court ruling in the case. The San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals had found the pledge was unconstitutional in public school classroom because of the phrase, "one nation, under God."
The Supreme Court could decide to strip the words "under God" from the patriotic oath or rule that the mention of God does not violate the notion of separation of church and state.

'Rerun' Berry Dies at Age 52

Fred Berry, the bulb-shaped, squeaky-voiced actor famous for playing red-beret-wearing Rerun on the 1970s TV sitcom "What's Happening!" has died at age 52, police said Wednesday.
Berry died Tuesday at his home in Los Angeles of apparent natural causes, police Officer Jason Lee said. The county coroner was investigating the exact nature of the death, but friends said Berry had been in ill health due to a recent stroke.
He wore his red beret and suspenders in real life, and it was unclear whether he originally brought his own style to the character of Rerun or whether he was forever mimicking the character that made him famous.
Rerun was a 1970s version of latter-day goofball TV characters like Steve Urkel from "Family Matters": loud, a little whiny, a little dim and definitely geeky. "What's Happening!", which ran from 1976-1979, focused on three teenage friends — Rerun, Raj and Dwayne — who learn about life, women and trouble while growing up in Los Angeles.
Among the more famous episodes was one in which Rerun joined a bizarre cult and another in which he got busted for making bootlegged tapes of a Doobie Brothers concert.
The name Rerun, according to Berry, referred to the character's brainlessness: In the summer, he had to rerun all the classes he failed during the school year.
Berry's success on the show was clouded by his heavy use of marijuana and cocaine. "There were dealers right there in the studio, people that worked there," he said in 1996. "In the '70s, it was like that on a lot of TV shows. It was the Hollywood lifestyle then. Everybody was doing it."
By the time "What's Happening!" ended, Berry said he had blown more than a million dollars on drugs, cars, homes and an airplane. With no acting jobs heading his way, Berry tried to live off his fame by charging to appear at shopping malls.
Even later in life, he was still cashing in: lately, he earned money by calling fans on the telephone with the service www.HollywoodIsCalli ng.com. About $30 would earn a fan a 30 second call.
Berry's love life was another complication. He married a dancer while in his 20s, and the two divorced, remarried and divorced again. Berry repeated that performance with his second wife, whom he married and divorced twice (most recently in 1991). He also married and divorced two other women.
Rerun brought Berry another brief moment of success in 1985, when "What's Happening!" was revived as the syndicated "What's Happening Now!" Berry quit in a contract dispute after the first season and the show ended in 1987.
By 1986, Berry says, he abandoned drugs and started to speak at churches, schools and other groups, finally working as a minister in Madison, Ala., at the New Shiloh Church Ministry.
He was still dabbling in show business. Berry recently appeared on the TV shows "Star Dates" on the E! Entertainment Network, MTV's "Doggy Fizzle Televizzle" with Snoop Dogg and in a cameo role in the David Spade comedy film "Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star."
Funeral services were unclear late Wednesday.

Hello,
Here's an observation from Ron Silver who will be starring in a TV show called "Skin" which revolves to some extent around the porno world. Evidently he visited a few porno sets to presumably get more insight into his role. (Yeah, right!- hehe)
"Everyone in the industry is a star," he says, "there don't seem to be any bit players."
Funny, I've been thinking that for years now as the term "porn star" has become increasingly ubiquitous. When I was a kid I remember riding in the back of my Mom's station wagon going to Tommaso's Restaurant which was located in the "red-light district" of San Francisco. I'd stare at the huge promo posters outside the theatres which featured the "stars" of the day. They were the luminaries of the industry at a time when there were no video cameras and there wasn't nearly as much porn around. (And you had to go to a theatre and watch the movies there. How weird is that?)
I always roll my eyes at the use of the word "star" when it's used to refer to anything other than a celestial body, but in the theatre years of porno, as I like to call them, there seemed to be only a handful of folks who appeared in most of the productions. Their names actually brought a bit of cachet to the films. Sounds ridiculous, but I can remember Seka being quite a celebrity in the pornohouses and skin magazines of yore. She was very famous. Now, with the sheer volume of porno that is produced worldwide, and the large number of adult performers in the industry it is kind of ironic that they are all "stars."
It's not ironic in a bad way, but it's just something I've reflected on here and there, and Ron Silver is the first person I've run across that seems to share my sentiments on this very unimportant issue. -- XXOO Tanya

WAYS OF DEATH SIMPLE AND DIRECT
The ways of death are brutally simple and direct, a far cry from the high-tech warfare favored by the United States.
A mortar bomb here, a rocket propelled grenade there, a burst of AK-47 fire -- and most deadly of all -- the dreaded IED or "Improvised Explosive Device," military jargon for a home made bomb.
Hung from a tree, buried by a roadside, detonated by a toy car remote control or a timer, the IED is the most feared of the weapons used by the collection of Saddam loyalists and al Qaeda followers blamed by the U.S. military for the death toll.
"There is not much you can do about them," said Private First Class William Jelks, 19, of Houston, who mans a 50-caliber machinegun on top of a Humvee, a favored vehicle for patrols.
"About all you can do is look for them."
U.S. troops have taken to reinforcing their Humvees with more armor plating but even this is little protection in an IED attack where plastic explosives and mortar bombs are linked in a "daisy chain."
Troops say that attackers rarely worry them with gunfire.
"I haven't seen any gunshot wounds in a long time, maybe two months. The wounds are all these RPGs and shrapnel from IEDs," said Major William Marzullo, El Paso, Texas, senior medical officer for the First Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment.
"I wasn't expecting all these home-made bombs."

In the war itself, 115 U.S. troops died in combat and 23 in non-hostile actions, making a total of 336 dead for U.S. forces since they invaded on March 20.
"It's just frustrating. It's not traditional warfare, You've got no known enemy. No military target." said Specialist Joshuah Thompson, 23, with the 720th Military Police Battalionin Saddam Hussein (news - web sites)'s home town of Tikrit.
"I think the people are ungrateful. They still attack us. We bring them freedom and they're still trying to kill us."
WAYS OF DEATH SIMPLE AND DIRECT
The ways of death are brutally simple and direct, a far cry from the high-tech warfare favored by the United States.
A mortar bomb here, a rocket propelled grenade there, a burst of AK-47 fire -- and most deadly of all -- the dreaded IED or "Improvised Explosive Device," military jargon for a home made bomb.
Hung from a tree, buried by a roadside, detonated by a toy car remote control or a timer, the IED is the most feared of the weapons used by the collection of Saddam loyalists and al Qaeda followers blamed by the U.S. military for the death toll.
"There is not much you can do about them," said Private First Class William Jelks, 19, of Houston, who mans a 50-caliber machinegun on top of a Humvee, a favored vehicle for patrols.
"About all you can do is look for them."
U.S. troops have taken to reinforcing their Humvees with more armor plating but even this is little protection in an IED attack where plastic explosives and mortar bombs are linked in a "daisy chain."
Troops say that attackers rarely worry them with gunfire.
"I haven't seen any gunshot wounds in a long time, maybe two months. The wounds are all these RPGs and shrapnel from IEDs," said Major William Marzullo, El Paso, Texas, senior medical officer for the First Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment.
"I wasn't expecting all these home-made bombs."

Today's Photo of the Day for 10/12/03 was NOT created by me in some hideous moment of self-indulgence- hehe! Who then, you ask, would have carved out those letters in the sand and taken a snapshot? No, really, I didn't pay anyone. Rather, I was approached by a very, very nice gentleman at a convention a few months ago who handed me this photo. I was stunned and amazed. Of course it did occur to me that this sand tribute was made for a DIFFERENT Tanya and given to me as an afterthought, but when I'm old I'll show this picture to my grandchildren since I won't be able to show them any others.
Incidentally, I recently met one of the most beautiful women I have seen in porno. Her name is Tanya James, and she is quite stunning. She's about 5'11 and I think she missed her calling as a fashion model. I believe she is fairly new to the business- I just met her as I was working for VCA director/ noted porn historian Jim Holliday over the weekend.
Perhaps many people will start ending up on my site here accidentally when they are typing in "Tanya" and "porno" on the search engines. Sure, they will be hunting for Tanya James, but maybe I'll be able to parlay the additional traffic into something useful- hehe!

Good morning,
The Mojave was wonderful. LOTS of beautiful girls on the set, and the desert was a very peaceful, serene setting with a GORGEOUS full moon last night. Today's Photo of the Day is an old promotional still that I used to use when I was a feature dancer. It brings me back to 1996 when I look at it.........yikes, I don't think I want to go back there. When I first began travelling on the road to feature dance I had a loser boyfriend who specialized in not having a job. In part I began travelling just to spite him because he drove around in his truck with photos of his ex-girlfriend. We'd argued about the fact that I would find photos of her everywhere, and he refused to give them up. I'd throw out a few and then more would surface. Finally, I was going to SHOW HIM, and I announced plans to tour the country. He was suitably upset.
Model T's in Cleveland, Ohio,which no longer exists, was the first club I ever appeared at as a feature act. Model T's had some large screen TVs on which they would endlessly play and replay the same Playboy video because they hadn't gotten around to buying any others yet. Oddly, very oddly, that one video featured my boyfriend's ex-girlfriend. I could not escape her.
At one point I returned from my tour and discovered that my boyfriend had stolen all my jewelry, some of which was very valuable and had been in my family for years. I never got it back.
Strange how today's photo brings me back. Back to a point in my life when I surrounded myself with people who were total scumbags. Live and learn, I suppose. No, I don't suppose- I KNOW...............

Today's (9/30/03) Photo of the Day was a Polaroid snapped during a shoot for promotional posters for a movie called "Dude, Where's My Car?" or something like that. I'm not a big movie buff, but that movie was out in fairly wide release in the US a few years ago. In any case, there were four models there that day for the shoot, including Penthouse Pet Teanna Kai and myself, but the two other models' photos were used in the ad campaign and Teanna's and mine weren't.
That's of no importance though. Teanna and I were later reunited on a porno set where we did a sex scene for Vivid's "Action Sports Sex" series. She is as HOT and HORNY as she is beautiful. A group of about 400 Japanese men, ranging in age from 37 to 16, flew into the city of Zhuhai, in Guangdong province purely for sex at a hotel that on one of those nights had nearly 500 girls brought to serve them, papers including the Beijing Youth Daily said.
The five-star hotel -- Zhuhai International Convention Center Hotel -- where the orgy, which began on September 16, took place has since been shut down by police.
"We've sent people down to investigate, but we don't have any details yet," a police official at the Guangdong Province Public Security Bureau told AFP.
A hotel staffer said Sunday there were no rooms available.
"We've completely shut down for rectification," a hotel employee said, but refused to comment further.
Media reports said the hotel marketing and sales department, using its contacts in Japan, had organized the group of all-male tourists from Japan to come to Zhuhai.
The hotel's night club 'madame' made contacts with numerous night clubs in the city to prepare a large group of girls for the men.
On the night of September 16, witnesses said the hotel lobby was run amuck with the tourists grabbing and hugging the women, with some men groping the women under their clothes all the way up the elevator ride to their rooms.
Doors to some of the rooms were left ajar and three to four girls could be seen or heard in one room, the Beijing Youth Daily report said.
Asked why they were in Zhuhai, one of the Japanese guests said: "We came to play with Chinese girls!"
The orgy lasted until September 18, the 72nd anniversary of the start of Japan's occupation of northeast China from 1931 to the end of World War II in 1945.
The women were paid 1,200 yuan (144 US dollars) to 1,800 yuan a night.
Interviewed by Chinese media, hotel managers said Japanese tourists regularly came to their hotel for prostitution services -- indicating the date may have been a coincidence.
But Chinese people reading the reports spewed anger on the Internet over what they considered an intentional act to choose the anniversary for their sexual spree to humiliate China.
"Japanese people deep in their bones look down on Chinese people and still there are so many of us who are gleeful at using Japanese products," said one person on the Chinese portal Sina.com's chatroom.
"A bunch of idiots we are!!!"
Others called for a boycott of Japanese goods.
"Don't buy Sony walkmans. Don't buy Guangzhou Honda," one irate netizen wrote.
Still others blamed the Chinese government for not cracking down on prostitution.
Since the news broke, it has generated a strong reaction from readers.
By Sunday afternoon, more than 14,700 comments on the issue had been posted on Sina.com's chatroom, a higher number compared to response on other topics.
Despite increasing trade and contact with Japan and the fact that Japan is China's largest trading partner, many Chinese continue to deeply resent Japan's wartime behavior, and the perception that Japan has not owned up to its wartime history.
Their resentment is fueled by the Chinese government and state-run media's frequent reminders of Japan's wartime atrocities.
Meanwhile, Zhuhai and other cities in the Pearl River delta adjoining Hong Kong have become centers for prostitution drawing girls from more impoverished parts of the country and men from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan.
Prostitution has become a common phenomenon at Chinese hotels, even five-star establishments, in major cities, with prostitutes openly propositioning guests or calling them in their rooms.

The hotel's night club 'madame' made contacts with numerous night clubs in the city to prepare a large group of girls for the men.
On the night of September 16, witnesses said the hotel lobby was run amuck with the tourists grabbing and hugging the women, with some men groping the women under their clothes all the way up the elevator ride to their rooms.
Doors to some of the rooms were left ajar and three to four girls could be seen or heard in one room, the Beijing Youth Daily report said.
Asked why they were in Zhuhai, one of the Japanese guests said: "We came to play with Chinese girls!"
The orgy lasted until September 18, the 72nd anniversary of the start of Japan's occupation of northeast China from 1931 to the end of World War II in 1945.
The women were paid 1,200 yuan (144 US dollars) to 1,800 yuan a night.
Interviewed by Chinese media, hotel managers said Japanese tourists regularly came to their hotel for prostitution services -- indicating the date may have been a coincidence.
But Chinese people reading the reports spewed anger on the Internet over what they considered an intentional act to choose the anniversary for their sexual spree to humiliate China.
"Japanese people deep in their bones look down on Chinese people and still there are so many of us who are gleeful at using Japanese products," said one person on the Chinese portal Sina.com's chatroom.
"A bunch of idiots we are!!!"
Others called for a boycott of Japanese goods.
"Don't buy Sony walkmans. Don't buy Guangzhou Honda," one irate netizen wrote.
Still others blamed the Chinese government for not cracking down on prostitution.
Since the news broke, it has generated a strong reaction from readers.
By Sunday afternoon, more than 14,700 comments on the issue had been posted on Sina.com's chatroom, a higher number compared to response on other topics.
Despite increasing trade and contact with Japan and the fact that Japan is China's largest trading partner, many Chinese continue to deeply resent Japan's wartime behavior, and the perception that Japan has not owned up to its wartime history.
Their resentment is fueled by the Chinese government and state-run media's frequent reminders of Japan's wartime atrocities.
Meanwhile, Zhuhai and other cities in the Pearl River delta adjoining Hong Kong have become centers for prostitution drawing girls from more impoverished parts of the country and men from Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan.
Prostitution has become a common phenomenon at Chinese hotels, even five-star establishments, in major cities, with prostitutes openly propositioning guests or calling them in their rooms.

I just returned from a short trip to Vegas- the city I hate more than any other city that I've ever been to. Even London. I went to a fight, the outcome of which was quite disappointing, particularly since I lost some money on it. Oh well, it's very nice to be home. Even my cats, Larry and Amanda, seem happy to see me. The best part of going away is always coming home.

Good morning,
The day after my previous blog here I received the post below on the Playhouse bulletin board. Evidently I had alarmed a few people with my words. Perhaps it appeared that I was sending out the proverbial "cry for help." Actually, I had just thought I was being humorous, but to some it seemed to be a desperate plea for attention. He works at the club I dance at sometimes, and, he - more than anyone in recent memory- has seen me in some really drunken states. He commented recently that my personality is remarkably similar when I'm drunk or when I'm not. I thought that was funny since I have worried at times whether I'm more of an imbecile than I realize after I've had a few. Hello,
Here in the Photo of the Day for 9/19/03 is the famed Hollywood Blvd. There are indeed stars on the pavement which commemorate famous people, but you can't see them because it's hard to measure lighting when both the model and photographer are retards, and they don't know anything about lighting anyways.
This night, evidenced by a snapshot, is an example of the extent to which I'll go in a state of drunken foolishness. Not too much debauchery involved.
Just ask Corndog Johnny. He's seen me at my worst, and I'm not too much of a renegade.

Good evening,
I returned yesterday morning from the Amazon. The scenery was amazing and I have many stories to tell. Of course I realize that other people's vacation "adventures" are usually really boring to hear about so I won't even really get into it.
Yesterday on the Playhouse bulletin board I did mention a few airlines based in South America that you may well wish to avoid if you are planning to travel anywhere in that region. Then again, maybe more seasoned world travellers than myself would not even bat an eye if part of the interior ceiling of the plane fell off in the middle of the journey. I did notice, however, that I was not the only nervous passenger boarding a particular flight when the pilot came stumbling down the gangway reeking of cologne and tripping over people's carry-on bags. I found myself hoping that he might have access to a big, fat line of Colombian cocaine to snort off his steering wheel before beginning our voyage into the air. A mere cup of coffee would not have even begun to sober that man up.
Ironically, that particular airline had a profoundly limited offering of liquor available to passengers: Campari or the cheapest brand of Scotch known to man. Perhaps the good captain had to get tanked before the flight because he knew it would be his last chance for decent liquor for at least a good 11 hours.
Anyways, I had a great trip but am happy to be home. I noticed the Playhouse bulletin board was very active while I was gone, and there were a few well-deserved cracks made about my lovely makeup in recent Photos o' the Day. The ones with the dark red vampire lipstick were taken at some point in the nineties, and I'm pretty darned sure that shade was not even fashionable then.

Hello,
There is a new "live-action" photoset in the Playhouse today. By "live-action" I mean that none of the photos were posed, they were taken during the shooting of a custom video. Some of the facial expressions are not the most attractive, but............ I guess that's what I look like when I'm REALLY masturbating and not just posing for a picture!
Today's photo of the day was shot by my friend Al, and by the looks of it I'd guess it must have been taken in the mid-90's or so. I don't think I've had tan lines or scary-long fingernails in any time more recently than that.

Hello,
The following thoughts were exchanged on the Playhouse bulletin board between myself and a member right after I put up my musings here on the front page in the post of 7/29/03. (Please just scroll down here if you want to read that 7/29 post.) I thought his reaction was important and provided a profoundly honest perspective. Here is his response to my statements of 7/29 and my feedback to his words:

Comment: Hey Tanya, I was wondering about your last post regarding sexually confident women and how men degrade or attempt to control. I feel that the men are afraid they can't perform to her satisfaction and are attempting to divert their fear of not being good enough by degrading or insulting or even controling. To be honest I probably would be afraid myself because i've never truly met a woman so confident but I would love to try to please her and enjoy the time together. I might fail at first but i would be willing to work to do better. Just my two cents worth. (name withheld)

Comment: (Name withheld), I think you hit the nail on the head with your words. A lot of men nurse those same kind of fears to varying degrees, but they shouldn't. It's not possible to fail when you are sensitive and caring and try to please your partner. Being receptive and responsive are the most important things. When I speak of sexually confident women, I'm referring to women who enjoy their bodies and enjoy sex without felling guilty about it. I'm not referring to superficial women who expect a lover with the physique of a gay porn star and the endurance to match. Good sex is about both mutual respect and mutual enjoyment. I think a lot of couples jump into bed too quickly. There would be much more of a comfort level between them if they developed other aspects of their relationship first. That sounds ironic coming from someone who does porno, but that's how I've always let relationships progress in my personal life. I know men have a lot of ego in regards to their anatomy, libido and "performance ability," but they should never have anything to worry about if they take the time to get to know a woman and there's more involved than just a one night stand. Most women don't have unrealistic expectations just because they like sex. They care just as much about satisfying their lover, and they have no interest in judging him. *****
A lot of dialogue, such as the above, that has come up on the bulletin board has been very thought-provoking and interesting. I honestly had not anticipated the degree of interaction that I have come to experience daily with all of you wonderful members. Joanne, the terrific webmaster here, had included the bulletin board when she built the Playhouse earlier this year. Back then I thought it would be just a minor addendum to the video/ photo content. I am so happy that it has evolved to such an extent where so many members (and myself!) are actively posting their thoughts and feelings. It is very gratifying and heartwarming to belong to such a community. --- XXOO Tanya

Hello! Yes, that is me in today's photo of the day. I think it was taken in the mid-90's or so. It was featured in a magazine layout in a publication that featured Latin women. I vaguely remember some caption on the cover of the magazine that said something to the effect of: " Hot Mamacitas Beggin' for your Burrito!"--- XXOO Tanya
